Nearly 40% of all families in North America are touched by alcohol abuse. Yet funding for alcohol research is very low compared to the far reaching effects on our families and communities.

Today, with the momentous advances of genetics, brain imaging and other highly innovative research tools, we’re on the cusp of understanding the mechanisms of alcohol abuse and finding solutions that will give millions of people hope for the future.

Our $10 million Promise for the Future Campaign is about our families, our communities, and a healthier future. This capital investment will substantially and permanently transform the Foundation’s ability to carry out its mission. This Campaign will enable the Foundation to accomplish three critical goals:

Goal 2. Prepare new scientific leaders to guide future research and inform public policy

Goal 3. More broadly communicate important new discoveries through expanded conferences and international collaboration
